24 year old Amanda Clayton who won a million dollars ruffled a few feathers in Detroit when people found out that she still receives food benefits! Yep, that’s right! She claims after taxes it was $700,000 and after deciding to take it in a lump sum its was just a little over $500, 000. She then bought two houses, a new car and now claims to be struggling since she is not working and therefore needs the assistance. Amanda receives $200 a month in food assistance! Must be nice.
When confronted about continuing to claim welfare Clayton said she wasn’t doing anything wrong.‘I thought that they would cut me off, but since they didn’t, I thought maybe it was okay because I’m not working,’ she said.
