During his show, Wale reminisced on times as a child growing up in DC when he would walk by the old Howard Theatre. He shared how much of an honor it was for him to now be performing on its stage. The original Howard Theatre was established over 100 years ago in 1910 and was known as the “Theater of the People.”

Wale tweeted, “DC was amazing to tonight,” after his performance to a sold out crowd. His set included a variety of hits from his body of work including “Slight Work”, “90210”, “Sabotage”, “Nike Boots”, “Ambitious Girl”, “Bait”, and “Lotus Flower Bomb”. The crowd was hyped when the show turned into a go-go and Slump went OFF on the congos during “Sexy LadY”. The show got CRAY when Wale jumped into the crowd to party with the people.
