State Department Employee Arrested On Child Porn Charges

(Lorton, VA)  –  A U.S. State Department employee faces multiple counts of possession of child pornography.  Fifty-four-year-old Carl Carey was arrested at his home in Lorton.  His arrest comes about a year-and-a-half afterFairfax County police executed a search warrant on his home in 2010.  The State Department suspended Carey without pay at that time.  Carey had worked his way up to a senior project manager position in the IT department at DOS.  Currently, he is out on bond pending a court hearing.  Carey is the second DOS employee to be arrested in recent months.
