(Washington, DC)  –  The City Council has voted to enact a ban on new strip clubs in a section of Northeast, DC.  Members unanimously approved a measure placing a moratorium on strip clubs in Ward Five, which already features four of the clubs.  According to the “Examiner,” some residents in the area of Queens Chapel Road were concerned that the area could become a new red-light district with strip clubs and five approved medical marijuana dispensaries and a distributor.  The moratorium means that three strip clubs displaced by the construction of Nationals Park, will have to locate elsewhere.
