In an unanticipated turn of events, Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester unsealed files on Monday in the highly controversial George Zimmerman trial, reports The Grio.RELATED: NewsOne’s Trayvon Martin Coverage
Zimmerman is charged by the state of Florida with murder in the second degree for the shooting death of unarmed, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012.
At Zimmerman’s first hearing on April 12, and at the request of the 28-year-old former neighborhood watch captain’s legal council, Attorney Mark O’ Mara, Judge Mark E. Herr ruled that “any documents filed after the probable-cause affidavit are to be sealed.”
