Will Smith has focused on music since that ill advised “Switch” song came out back in 2005. Smith returned to his rapper roots by performing with DJ Jazzy Jeff at the Men In Black III afterparty.

Considering summer is right around the corner, Smith–or should I say The Fresh Prince–surprised the crowd with a performance of one of their biggest hits. The Grammy winning duo fell right back into the groove of things once the record began playing. Judging from the screams, the crowd seemed to enjoy it. After all, it is one of the best summertime cook out songs ever.
On another note, DJ Jazzy Jeff hinted that Will Smith might be putting out a new record. Despite Will Smith evading the question on BET’s 106 & Park recently, Jazzy Jeff says, “He came down like two weeks ago and was like, ‘Yo, I wanna get back into the studio,’ and we just knocked out some stuff.” Jeff continued, “I just think, more than anything, there is no set pattern, no set plan. But, we just wanna go into the studio and see what we come out with. If I can get it back to the way we used to make music, you know, it used to be just me and him in the room. You don’t need no entourages and cameras and all of that and see what happens. He hasn’t decided exactly what he wants to do.”
