Was the note all worth it? I’m sure that’s what YMCMB member Drake is wondering, as it is what reports are saying that allegedly started the club melee between him and Chris Brown’s entourage, early Thursday am. Well, now it looks like it’s time to face the music, as Drake (born Aubrey Drake Graham) is wanted for police custody.

Drake will be able to have his mugshot next to his YMCMB boss, Lil Wayne, as police want the rapper/singer in custody.

via New York Post:

Drake is expected to be charged with reckless endangerment, sources said, after a witness told cops the hip-hopper hurled the projectile during the 4 a.m. mayhem Thursday at the SoHo hotspot W.i.P.

The witness didn’t believe Drake hit anyone with the bottle.

The 25-year-old hip-hop star, who briefly dated Rihanna, drove Brown into a rage when his table sent over a note that read: “I am f–king the love of your life.”

Brown, Rihanna’s ex, had just bought Drake a pricey bottle of Champagne.

Drake’s camp yesterday said the fight was instigated by a member of Brown’s crew who made offensive comments toward their entourage, which included rapper Meek Mill.

A source said Brown’s posse that night may have included members of the Crips street gang, which would violate the terms of his probation set after his 2009 attack on Rihanna.

“Drake’s lawyers and the police are looking into whether Chris Brown was hanging out with known gang members,” the source said.

But an attorney for Brown said Drake started the brawl.

“I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this. The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim in all of this,” said Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos.

“I believe the police are building a case against Drake and his thugs,” Geragos added. “Clearly, Drake was the instigator, and there is evidence he threw glassware.”

Detectives were also probing witness accounts that they heard shots fired during the fight, which left at least five injured.

“While none so far reported seeing a gun, several witnesses have told NYPD detectives that they heard what they believed was a gunshot inside the club during the disturbance,” said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne.

NBA star Tony Parker, who was at W.i.P. when the violence broke out, said yesterday that he got a piece of glass in his eye. His basketball future in not in jeopardy.

Police are hoping that Drake agrees to turn himself in early next week, or he will be arrested tonight during his concert tonight at Jones Beach, according to a source.
