Sherman Hemsley, best known as the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in “The Jeffersons,” has died, El Paso cops told TMZ today.
He died at his home in El Paso of natural causes at the age of 74, according to TMZ.
Hemsley leaves behind no wife and no kids but a legacy in the TV world and in the black community.
