(Washington, DC) – The National Congress of Black Women will host the group’s 28th Annual Awards Ceremony Sunday, September 23rd at 10am. Radio-One DC’s News and Community Affairs Director, Sheila Stewart, will be the MC for the ceremony. The event will take place at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC where the NCBW will honor U.S. Secret Service Special Agent in Charge, Paula Reid. She is currently responsible for the Secret Service’s Miami office which includes, Southern Miami and the Caribbean, plus South and Central America.

NCBW Chair, Dr. E. Faye Williams said, “I am so excited about our honorees and our program this year. The honorees are in medicine, aviation, business and government, and all are among the brightest minds in our nation. We’ll have a great health forum before the awards. Our guests will leave the event knowing they have gotten far more than the cost of their tickets. The event is always sold out and this year will be no different! The tickets are already selling rapidly.”
