Soul man John Legend is making his return back to the music scene in grand fashion. After taking some time away from music to get engaged and competing on the ABC reality show Duets, Legend has announced he is working on his fourth solo album and will be embarking on a tour beginning in the fall.

John Legend is is currently putting the finishing touches on his fourth album Love In The Future. The new set is said to be co-executive produced by Kanye West, Dave Tozer, and Legend. The “Ordinary People” singer worked with both of the aforementioned men on his Grammy winning debut album Get Lifted. To build a little anticipation for his upcoming project, John Legend recorded a video where he previewed a song he and West were working on. The name of the unfinished track is called “Caught Up.”

As for his tour, this will be done on a smaller scale than his previous one. Legend chose to make this a theater tour instead of an arena tour. Our guess is that he wanted the concert to feel more intimate since he will be previewing music from Love In The Future while touring. The trek will begin in Clearwater, Florida on October 16th and will make stops in Brooklyn, Phoenix, Nashville, and Chicago.

Check out the video of John Legend previewing “Caught Up” below. While you’re at it, take a look at the dates for his show. Tickets go on sale August 17th.
