LARGO, MD – Prince George’s County Government along with NBC Washington, PNC Bank, Shred-It and the Prince George’s Community College will host a free NBC Washington PNC Bank Community Shred on Saturday, September 8, 2012.
County citizens and residents can bring up to five archive boxes or trash bags of their personal documents to the event from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to help avoid the long lines. All vehicles must be in line by 11 a.m. at the intersection of Prince Place and Campus Way South in order to discard their items. No documents will be accepted by walk-in.
“The response to the previous NBC Washington PNC Bank Community Shred events at the Prince George’s Community College has been overwhelming,” said Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III. “I strongly encourage all County citizens and residents to take advantage of this opportunity to safely dispose of their documents and protect themselves from identity theft.”
