Kanye West received an unprecedented 16 out of 18 nominations at this years BET Hip-Hop Awards. He was only left out of the DJ of The Year and Rookie categories, but we still think there are some awards he should be getting. Here are five categories Kanye should have been nominated for in 2012 and would win by a landslide.

Hypeman Of The Year Award

Kris Jenner may be Kim Kardashian’s mom-a-ger but no one has done more promo for the reality TV vixen than her boyfriend Mr. West. Between the shout outs on “Cold (Theraflu)” “Perfect Bitch” and “Clique” Kanye has devoted more airtime to Kim than E!. Then he made Kim K the focal mannequin for his fall fashion collection. Not to mention the soon-to-be ex Mrs. Humphries is the ONLY person Kanye follows on Twitter.

Hostile Takeover of The Year Award

Chief Keef wants his song back. In a jack move that would make Deebo slow clap in awe, Kanye remixed Chief Keef’s hit “I Don’t Like” by changing the beat and taking the rapper’s verse off the song, leaving the hook as the only clue to his relation to his own creation. When Keef protested on Twitter that “Kanye didn’t make me hot” Yeezy gathered a pile of f*cks he didn’t give and went about the business of promoting Kardhashian, Inc.

The Breaking Twitter Award

Kanye made some folks question whether publicists were going extinct when he went on Twitter to announced the launch of his design company DONDA, named after his late mother to “galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…” He topped this fete by posting an email where his over 8 Million followers could send their resumes. Tech Support at Gmail got NO sleep that night.

The Negro Please Award

Between claiming the Air Yeezy  sneaker jumped over the Jump Man on “New God Flow” and threatening that he could get Kris Humphries dropped from the Brooklyn Nets roster, Kanye elevated hyperbole to an art form. This was followed up by an introspective rant about the words “bitch” and “N*gger” later that year that almost made you think he was giving some of those f*cks back. Almost.

The Plays Nice With Others Award

Say what you will about Yeezy but his finger prints are allover the music industry now. Anyone who listened to Hit-Boy’s mix tape HITstory can tell that Yeezy has had a sizable influence on his rapping style and even his rapper-turned-producer-back-to-rapper path to fame. Not to mention that he does more collaborating with producers on music than solo missions these days. The results have been G.O.O.D. to say the least.

Let’s just hope that Kanye shows up to accept. We all know that Yeezy + Podiums = Must See TV.
