On October 2, 2012 Brooklyn’s own Skyzoo will be releasing his second studio album, A Dream Deferred on Duck Down Records. It is the long awaited follow-up to 2009′s The Salvation.

Vibe TV partnered with sky to offer an exclusive behind the scenes look at the making of Skyzoo’s sophomore album featuring studio sessions, show footage, and a one on one interview detailing the album’s creative process.

“To me that poem is short but it means so much,” Sky says of the Langston Hughes poem he named the album after. “It’s simple but it as all of these layers to it. I wanted to name the album ‘A Dream Deferred’ because it picks up on the story I began telling on ‘The Salvation.’ On that album is about temptation and which way to go, right and wrong, left and right, the decisions and sacrifices you make to go in either direction and what happens. This album is about what happens when you make those choices…what happens now.”
