Robert Griffin III, with his world class hurdler speed, has been running over and through the NFL but now the heralded rookie QB is facing his first divisional foe, which just happens to be the defending champs. The New York Giants have a scary front seven and their anchor Jason Piere-Paul warns that he’s going to put RGIII on his back if he comes to his side this Sunday.

According Sports Illustrated:

Jason Pierre-Paul has put RG3 on notice. “Don’t bring it to my side. Go the other way,” Pierre-Paul warned. And as fast as Griffin is — Giants coach Tom Coughlin said he was “probably the fastest guy on the field” last week when he busted a stunning 76-yard run against Minnesota — Big Blue’s defense has quickness of its own.

“Trust me, we chase quarterbacks all the time. We turn and run to the guy no matter what,” Pierre-Paul said. “He may … zoom past us, but trust me, we’re right behind him. You’ve got to respect that. It’s not all about the speed. We’ve got all 11 guys who can run to the ball. You’d be surprised, very surprised. It’s going to be a very good matchup,” Pierre-Paul said. “Not on my side though, or on the other side. Not on my side.”
