The FBI Headquarters building in Washington, D.C., has been in the news all week.  Not dealing with a high profile crime, but rather the relocation of the building.

The federal government is in the early stages of deciding where to move the FBI Headquarters building.  Right now, the building is located in downtown DC on Pennsylvania Ave. In regards to the building, D.C. Council Finance and Revenue Chairman Jack Evans, says, “It is the ugliest building in the city and it could be in the country.”  I guess we all know how he feels about it (lol).

DC is deciding whether or not they want to keep the building where it is, while Maryland and Virginia are giving various reasons why the building should be moved to their particular state.

Northern Virginia feels that the FBI Headquarters should be moved there because, all the other major federal agencies are already located there.  Not only that, but the Quantico training center for the FBI is located in Northern Virginia.  For the state of lovers, the idea of the FBI Headquarters moving there sounds very practical, but some officials in DC have an offer for Prince George’s county.

If DC “trades” Prince George’s County the FBI, then PG would let the Washington Washington Football Team out of their lease, and the Skins would come home to a new RFK Stadium.  Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker is not taking this offer seriously however.

Although the offer was taken lightly to some, that would be an interesting trade.  Not only would Redskin fans and Washingtonians be benefit, but so would the finances of the city.

PG might want to think about that offer huh!?
