The slain teen from Georgia, Jordan Davis covers the January 14th Issue of JET Magazine with the question, ” Is Your Child Next?” in bold letters next to it.

Jordan Russell Davis was shot and killed in a Florida Parking Lot for having his music too loud.

Here’s details on the story [Bossip]:

In JET’s exclusive magazine interview, Davis’ parents, Ron Davis and Lucia McBath, sit down with New York Times Bestselling Author, journalist Denene Millner to talk about Davis’ “miracle” birth, how he was developing into a productive young man, and how his life was snatched away by an armed man who is expected to use the “Stand Your Ground” defense at trial.

Davis and McBath tell JET they are seeking justice for their son and want to see the laws changed; they are petitioning the Obama administration to declare Stand Your Ground illegal under federal law.

Ron Davis tells the magazine “I will be out there stomping all over the nation, fighting for my son…we need to change these laws to back ‘when you shoot somebody, you’re going to be held accountable.’”

The Davis cover story, which also spotlights staggering Stand Your Ground statistics, hits newsstands Monday, Dec. 31.

What do you think about this cover? I’m interested to read the article to see if it glorifies that situation or if it was written to incite change?

Let’s chat about it.
