Trinidad James may have broken the one hit wonder rumors with his latest track, “Females Welcomed”.
With his first single “All Gold Everything” doing so well, and the line “…popped a Molly I’m sweatin’…WHEW!”, in everyone’s daily talk, some wondered if Trinidad James was going to make another hit. Also, by being signed to Def Jam for 2 million dollars, he had a lot of pressure on his back to make another hit. The one hit wonder “curse” may have passed James, as he put out his new song “Females Welcomed”.
“Females Welcomed”, was on James’ ‘Dont Be S.a.f.e.’ album. To be honest, it was one of the best songs off the project (JaLisa’s opinion). In the chorus, James talks about his side chick taking the place of his main chick. Although the chorus is a little ratch, it is catchy and has a nice beat the shoot to keep you moving.
With a song comes a video, and Trinidad James has released both. His last video was the remix to “All Gold Everything”, which featured a few of ATL’s finest rappers. For this particular video, he took the camera to Trinidad, and worked with renowned photographer Jonathan Mannion. In the video, the camera follows James throughout the streets, where he even shows off his pull up skills on random street signs.
