On the morning of April 22nd, Miami rapper Trina, lost her brother in a senseless act of violence. Her brother, Wilbert Bain Jr., known as Goonkie by family and friends, was gunned down by a neighbor that he had an altercation with. Bain was just 19 years old.
Miami Dade Police have a suspect in custody for the murder of Williams Bain. The suspect being charged, is 27 year old Rob Dobson. Police Arrested Dobson and he provided an affidavit confessing to the murder.
In the affidavit that Dobson provided to the police, he says that he and Bain were involved in an altercation that started with an argument, and ended with Dobson shooting Bain several times. The baffling thing about this story, is that they two are said to have known each other since they were children.
The following statement was released from Trina by her management :
“I have some very sad news to post. Over the weekend, Trina’s little brother was shot in Miami, FL. Wilbrent Bain Jr. is also known to friends as Goonkie and is 19 years old. He is currently in critical condition at a local Miami, FL hospital. Please keep him in your prayers and send your blessings to Trina and her family! Feel free to post comments as I will be forwarding them to Trina herself.”
With this incident, and other senseless acts of violence, I and other citizens are hoping that something is done about guns, and who is able to get them.
