Future feat. Lil Wayne, “Karate Chop” remix, has caused tons of A lot has been going on with Lil Wayne lately, and to add fuel to the fire, Emmett Till’s family is letting Lil Wayne feel the wrath of their hurt.

Earlier this week, the Till family voiced their thoughts on the lyrics of Lil Wayne, in the remix to Future’s “Karate Chop”.  Hearing the opinions of the Till family members, towards his words, Lil Wayne decided to write and release a letter.  In the letter, Lil Wayne wrote:

“I have tremendous respect for those who paved the way for the liberty and opportunities that African-Americans currently enjoy; As a business owner who employs several African-American employees and gives philanthropically to organizations that help youth to pursue their dreams my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community.”

He also went on to say that he would not perform that portion of the song; including at the upcoming concert he has this summer, America’s Most Wanted Tour.  With the letter, and stated promises, the Till family is not pleased.  The Till family gave this statement to TMZ:

“While it’s commendable that he has vowed to respect the legacy of Emmett Till and his memory to ‘not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in his music,’ this statement falls short of an apology, as none is mentioned.”

Not only does the Till family not feel that the apology Wayne gave fell short, they also want those who are in business with him to drop him as a partner.  This sounds familiar…
