Ashanti is finally talking about her new CD and former relationship with rapper Nelly, former industry family and female industry beef. She recently had a sit down with Bravo’s Andy Cohen and discussed this all on ‘Watch What Happens Live!’
Ashanti was once known for being a part of the Murder Inc. family which put her on the map back in 2002 when her first self-titled album came out Ashanti. Nobody really knows what really happen for her to depart ways with the label. Furthermore, no one knows why she ended her long-term relationship with rapper Nelly. Ashanti was asked was her latest single ‘Never Should Have’ about Nelly. She stated “I’ll just say its a very real record, that’s inspired by a real experience and it came from a real place.” In addition, she states her opinion on Rihanna vs. Ciara.

If you ask me Ashanti has grown in the industry and handles herself very mature. I applaud her, she did not have anything negative to say, and she kept everything positive. Ashanti’s new album BraveHeart drops in store September 3rd!
