The days when Love Nightclub, and formerly Dream Nightclub, was one of the premiere nightclubs on East coast are long gone since nightlife godfather Marc Barnes sold the venue some years back but the beautiful club still remains, and is available to the highest bidder. The club has been put on the auction block by the US Bankruptcy Court for a sale date of May 1. If you’ve always wanted to be a club owner this may be one of your best chances to own a standout venue, especially with the area around the club slated to be redeveloped.

According to BizJournals:

The 35,000-square-foot Love, which sits on a 12,330-square-foot lot a block off of New York Avenue NE, was among D.C.’s largest nightclubs before it closed its doors in late 2013. It had a capacity of 3,500 on four floors. The building is constructed of masonry block with a brick front and steel truss roof. There is a 350-ton HVAC system, 28 bathrooms with 40 toilets and 25 urinals, and an elevator.

The property has an assessed value of $6.4 million, per the D.C. tax office.
