An 80’s baby and  longtime Whitney Houston fan is now the proud owner of her New Jersey mansion. According to media outlets, emergency room physician and investor Matthew Krauthamer, 33, purchased the Mendham, New Jersey property for $1.5 million.

Krauthamer, who lived a few blocks away from the house, has already been contacted by numerous entities who want to get a look inside the home. However, Whitney’s fan promises to honor and respect the late mega stars former estate.  He says he has no plans to exploit Houston’s legacy despite numerous requests for tours from fans and filmmakers. “She got, obviously, some bad press at times, but one thing that she was was a very kind and generous person,” he said. “She took care of the people that were closest to her, and that’s something that’s always stuck in my mind.”

The 13,607-square-foot home was built in 1987 (when Krauthamer was in the first grade) and is where Whitney Houston married Bobby Brown in 1992.  The house is situated on five acres of land with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two Jacuzzi’s, a large swimming pool and tennis court. The property had been on the market for three years when Houston passed away on February 11, 2012. Krauthamer has yet to move in, but will be shortly.

Rest In Peace Whitney!
