US rapper Rick Ross

A couple weeks ago an internet “beef” sparked between MMG artists Meek Mill and Wale. Shortly after Rick Ross released the name of Meek Mill’s upcoming September album, Dreams Worth More than Money, Meek went on a rant via his personal Twitter account about label mate Wale not supporting him. From saying Wale was a “cornaball”, “been hating”  and wasn’t MMG among other things, the rapper was really expressing how he was really feeling about the DC native.

Wale took to his personal Instagram to write a lengthy rebuttal to the claims. In part it said, “I never wanted anybody to think we take ourselves THAT serious. (Were rappers )I don’t need to take anybody shine.. Or hate on anybody .” The rapper went on to talk about how he text ‘Happy Father’s Day’ to some people and gets no response, but laughs it off. It seemed from the Instagram post that the rapper wasn’t too fazed by the tweets, but wanted to let people know how much he doesn’t take the rap game too seriously, like some.

After everything was all said and done everyone was wondering where was the MMG boss man Rick Ross when all this was going down.

In an interview with Bullett, Rick Ross claims that “as soon as the tweets went out, I spoke to both of them on the phone.” Ross goes on to say the whole thing was a misunderstanding it was “little brotherly jabs” that were being made.

With the MMG CEO being sympathetic over the issue mentioning those type of things always happen in the industry and he understands, he makes it clear that, “At the end of the day, they’re brothers and it’s time to turn up right now. It’s time for all of us to turn up and stay turned up, you know what I mean? But it’s all love between those two and everybody knows that.”
