Face-palm.

Misha Collection is under fire following the brand’s recent runway show. Not only was the presentation completely devoid of any diversity amongst its models, but the Australian design house chose to conclude the Sydney show with Beyoncé’s “Formation.”

The song, featured on Bey’s beloved Lemonade album, boasts a strong message of black female empowerment. So how could it fit into a fashion show that only showcased white models? The decision caused outrage on social media after the IMG Models agency shared a clip of the models’ final walk.

Users took to the internet comment section to voice their frustration. “Why are they walking to ‘Formation’? Not one black model or POC in sight. Tried it,” one user wrote.

Is this the latest example of whitewashing in fashion, or do you think the criticism is misplaced? Let us know in the comment section below.
