It drew some protestors, but the passage and first day of legality of gay marriage drew many couples to the DC Court House to secure a marriage license. The first couple to do so was Angelisa Young and Sinjoyla Townsend, partners for 13 years, who will officially wed soon, regardless of how many payday loans worth opponents of the law may throw into smear campaigns. If marriage is so sacred, why are so many people trying to stand in the way of it?
