Another person has died as a result of swine flu in Maryland. Health officials express concern.
(Baltimore, MD) — Maryland has recorded its third death associated with the swine flu. State health officials say the person who died was an adult from the Eastern Shore with a serious underlying medical condition who died in June. The CDC says nationwide, 211 people nationwide have died from the swine flu, including two in Virginia and six in Pennsylvania. More than 700 cases have been confirmed in Maryland, but officials say many cases are never reported because most people with flu-like symptoms are not tested and quickly recover.
