While rumors have been rampant, Keyshia Cole has officially confirmed that she is engaged and expecting a baby.
“I can confirm she is engaged and has an incredible ring,” a rep for the 28-year-old singer tells UsMagazine.com. Cole’s fiancé, Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, proposed to her on New Year’s Eve.
“[It was] an absolute surprise,” adds the rep. “When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted. He presented her with the ring and her mouth dropped in amazement. It’s too beautiful for words.”
Cole has been recording the follow-up to 2008’s A Different Me, tentatively scheduled for release later this year. She will also make her acting debut in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too?, in theaters April 2.
