(Washington, DC)  —  A DC man may have been murdered for his tennis shoes early Sunday.  Nineteen-year-old David Robinson was gunned down at the intersection of 58th and Foote Streets in Northeast and his Nike Rookie basketball shoes were missing. Robinson was shot after an SUV with three or four men inside had pulled up to him.  Robinson’s death was the District’s third homicide of the year.  Police are offering a reward of up to 25-thousand dollars to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction in the case.
