Patricia Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, told Oprah that she felt Whitney Houston’s final days were filled with Whitney “looking for love in all the wrong places.”

Although she didn’t mention Ray J by name, it appears she was talking about Brandy’s younger brother when she said, “The dream she [Whitney] was chasing was younger.”

Pat, who was also Whitney’s manager, said on Oprah’s Next Chapter, “In my opinion a young man that’s thriving and loved to be out and about. And you’re dealing with an older woman who’s at home and just looking for the love and comfort.”

Ray J, 31, and Whitney, 48, were rumored to be dating at the time of her death. Even in a press conference on Friday, the R&B singer referred to her as “my friend.”

He told reporters, “I really miss my friend, you know, I really do. I’m still hurting.”

Pat says, “I just felt that she was chasing something that would ultimately hurt her.”

At Whitney’s funeral, Ray J is seen reaching for Whitney’s casket and crying as it passed through the church.
