Since Baltimore fire departments are being faced with budget cuts, a City Council committee approved measures for a bill to place advertisements on the side of fire trucks. The bill is sponsored by West Baltimore Councilman William Welch in hopes of relieving them of the budget cuts.
The bill was approved the measure Tuesday afternoon by the council’s budget and taxation committee. But whether it will be passed isn’t certain, especially since Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake does not support placing ads on trucks, an aide told The Baltimore Sun.
