(Lynchburg, VA) — A Falls Church man cried yesterday at sentencing before a federal judge in Lynchburg. The judge gave John Dahlquist one year and one day in prison for impersonating a Secret Service agent. Dahlquist said he did it to impress a Lynchburg woman with whom he had a relationship. Prosecutors said he faked being a federal agent to try to get the woman to sign over her house to him. Dahlquist took a plea deal in June to one count, and five other charges were dropped.
