Head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers Mike Brown was fired today. The team released Brown due to their struggling record of 1-4 this season.
The all-star line-up has lagged defensively this year and many fans have suggested that Brown should be released.
According to the LA Times:
Assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff will coach tonight’s game against Golden State but the Lakers will conduct a national search for a long term replacement. Candidates could include Mike D’Antoni, Jerry Sloan, Nate McMillan and Phil Jackson.
With only five games under his belt and a 1-4 record this preseason, Mike Brown may have the shortest coaching career in NBA history. We wonder how much say Kobe had in his firing.
