After dropping one of the best albums of the year with ‘good kid m.A.A.d city’, why wouldn’t Kendrick Lamar be ‘Rookie of The Year’.

Kendrick Lamar has been named Rookie of The Year by The Source magazine.  This is their third annual issue of the title. K-Dot been around for some time now, with albums ‘Overly Dedicated’, ‘Section 80’, and several mixtapes.  With his latest work ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’, he is finally getting the recognition that he deserves.

This Compton rapper has impeccable storytelling lyrics, ride the wave beats, and the O.G. himself Dr. Dre in his corner, it was going to be sooner than later before everyone knew who Kendrick Lamar was.

With this newest title, songs like ‘Swimming Pools’ getting great play, and ‘Poetic Justice’ feat. Drake up to follow as the next single, the year of 2012 is ending great for K-Dot.  Now the anticipation is on to see what he will do next in the world of Hip Hop.
