LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Washington Football Team are embarking on several initiatives to give back to the community throughout the holiday season. From donating new and used toys to keeping area youth warm with new winter coats, the Washington Football Team are doing their part to positively impact the D.C. Metro Area.

The Washington Washington Football Team Charitable Foundation and the U.S Marine Corps will transform the Washington Football Team’s locker room into Santa’s toy shop. Washington Football Team players, along with Santa Claus and the Hogettes, will greet and give a toy to more than 1,000 youth in need from over 20 area schools and community groups.

ABOUT THE Washington Football Team: Headquartered at Washington Football Team Park in Ashburn, Virginia, and owned by Daniel Snyder, the historic Washington Washington Football Team Football Club has won five World Championship titles including the 1937 and 1942 National Football League Championship games, as well as Super Bowls XVII, XXII and XXVI. Founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves in Massachusetts, the team changed its name to the Washington Football Team in 1933 and relocated to Washington, D.C., in 1937. Since then, the team has become one of the most recognizable professional sports franchises in history, featuring three Hall of Fame coaches, 19 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame (with seven others who also were Washington Football Team) and becoming the first team in the NFL with an official marching band and fight song, “Hail to the Washington Football Team.” The Washington Football Team have been owned by Dan Snyder since 1999, and beginning in 1997, began playing their home games at FedExField in Landover, Md.
