Just today, my cohorts and I were discussing the undeniable success and longevity of Martin Lawrence’s hit sitcom ‘Martin’. Because of Lawrence’s genius, ‘Martin’ is one of the shows that will be around for your children’s, children’s, children’s, CHILDREN!! But, have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a Martin sitcom in the 21st century!?
There may be soon no need to wonder, as it may be possible. There have been talks that Martin Lawrence, and Kelsey Grammer (Cheers, Boss, ‘Girlfriends’ and ‘The Game’ producer) may be coming together for a sitcom project. Reports say that the new sitcom, will be along the lines of T.V. show “The Odd Couple”.
Of course before the sitcom comes to a tube near you, there has to be a lot of politicking. Right now, the two are throwing out ideas, and looking for potential writers for the show. Once that is done, then comes the pilots.
I am really hoping that the two do come together and do a project. I LOVE ‘Martin’ and have always been a fan of Kelsey Grammer’s work. Just think, if this show is a success, our children’s, children’s, children’s, CHILDREN, will have something else comical besides ‘Martin’; even though ‘Martin’ would hold it down!
