Sir Chief Keef of the Chicago Keef’s was sentenced in court yesterday for violation of his probation at a New York Gun Range, even after he cried in the courtroom.

DNA Chicago reports:

“I beg you please,” Chief Keef told Juvenile Court Judge Carl Anthony Walker. “Give me one more chance to show you. .. I am a very good hearted person. I have not picked up any more cases… That’s not my life anymore.”

The 17-year-old rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, then he broke down in sobs.

But the judge hit him with a two-month sentence, nonetheless. Keef then hugged and kissed his mother and grandmother before heading off to serve his time.

Prosecutors brought the probation violation case against the Interscope Records star after he appeared in a Pitchfork.com video holding a rifle at a New York gun range. Earlier this week, Walker said Chief Keef exhibited a “clear disregard for the court’s authority” in appearing with the gun.

Before being sentenced, prosecutors read lyrics from Chief Keef’s “Love Sosa” rap on his “Finally Rich” album, which debuted last month to strong sales.

Prosecutors pointed to lyrics that mentioned gangs and guns, a sign that the teen was unrepentant.

Chief Keef, in addressing the judge, called the lyrics “bull stuff.”

The sentence means Chief Keef will have to delay touring to support his new record.

How do I feel about it? Honestly man, I thought the whole discussion about “Is these rappers about what they talking about?” was over. I think it’s clear everything in entertainment is ENTERTAINMENT. Rozay is a former officer of the law, Drake claims to have a gangster side, & there are various others posing in the industry, BUT THAT’s OLD NEWS! I don’t understand why everyone is upset that he was crying in court, I mean maybe he really isn’t about “that” life anymore, so what? He selling records.I honor a man trying to change, I don’t know the guy per say but I mean if I was trying to get myself together & got thrown in jail in the process I would be in tears too, & I ain’t no [bad word] either. People just going ham on this dude on the blogs, let him live man. Young boy trying to make to a young man! What you think though? Am I nieve?
