Mystikal is getting ready to make a musical comeback. After 12 years of being away from hip hop, the once No Limit soldier, is ready to get to work. He is working on a new album to release this year, entitled Original. This will be the first album Mystikal will drop since Tarantula, in 2001. This album will be released under Birdman’s Cash Money Records, which he was signed to in 2011.
Since being released from jail in 2010, Mystikal has been doing performances, and featured on different artists songs. Now that he is working on his own project, some of those artists will return the favor. The Original album is set to have features from Lil Wayne, Birdman, Future, and Busta Rhymes. Sticking to his New Orleans roots, Tromobone Shorty and Stooges Bass Band, will have songs with Mystikal as well.
The Original is Mystikal’s fifth studio album, and will be released sometime in the middle of the year. His single is the same as the album title, “Original”. The song features Birdman and Lil Wayne. Check the video below!
