Kid Cudi Makes GOOD Music Without G.O.O.D. Music

Kid Cudi is going a different direction, and he is doing it without G.O.O.D. Music!

With his album dropping April 23rd, this news could definitely boost sales. While out in LA, Cudi did an interview where he announced that he was no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. No there is not a beef between he and Kanye. No he doesn’t feel like he has been forgotten about compared to the other G.O.O.D. artists. Cudi wants to go in a new direction and focus on his projects.

Kid Cudi broke the news to Kanye over a phone conversation. In the convo, Kid Cudi told Kanye that he wanted to focus on his own music label Wicked Awesome Records, and also WZRD. He also stated in the interview that not having any G.O.O.D. Music artists on his new album, has nothing to do with his leaving at all.

Although Kid Cudi is no longer apart of the G.O.O.D. camp, there is no love lost between he and his old cohorts. Kid Cudi had a great run with G.O.O.D. Music. He was signed in 2008 to the label, and put out two albums with the label. His new album Indicud will be the last album with the “little baby in a dress” on it.

Sad to see Cudi leave the G.O.O.D. clique, and I’m sure the G.O.O.D. artists are too. Even though he is leaving, I am sure that he will continue to make great records, and work with his old team in the future.
