Less than a week after Outkast member Andre 3000 lost his mother, TMZ is now reporting that the mother of singer Bruno Mars has died in Hawaii.

Bernadette Hernandez, 55, suffered a brain aneurysm and passed away at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Hernandez was a hula dancer and singer who immigrated from the Philippines.

Mars recently performed at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and was scheduled to begin his “Moonshine Jungle” tour in coming weeks.  There is no word if this tour will now be postponed.

Bruno Mars came to prominence when he wrote and sang on the hit records  ”Nothin’ on You” by B.o.B, and “Billionaire” by Travie McCoy, paving the way for his own solo hits ”Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade” from his debut album, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans.” His second album, “Unorthodox Jukebox” was released in 2012.
