Rapper Ludacris may be facing a lawsuit for “stealing lyrics” to the 2009 song “Sex Room” featuring Trey Songz. Rapper Marvo from Chicago says he the real author and writer of the successful song.
Marvo claims before the song was recorded and released by Luda, he was working with a producer named Kajun on the song. In addition, Marvo says that Kajun sold the song to Ludacris behind his back. Therefore, he feels he was blind-sided and feels he deserves his rights to the song.
Marvo told TMZ
“Ludacris changed parts of the song … but released it with many of the original lyrics, including multiple lines written by Marvo — such as, “Welcome to my sex room” and “It’s a private party.”
Marvo says he hasn’t gotten a penny for his tune and is now suing Ludacris and Trey Songz for an unspecified amount of loot.”
First, Marvo I understand how you may feel but suing Ludacris?! Second, I could see if you had worked on the song with Luda and he made it a hit without your acknowledgement. Thirdly, you need to find producer Kajun and sue him! But wait… prove that you are the original writer of “Sex Room”. Certainly, if you are the rightful owner of the hit single, I’m sure Luda will give you your credit.
