In Thursday’s NBA draft, the Washington Wizards further solidified their future with Otto Porter of Georgetown with the third pick with two other players with local ties rounding out the top 5. The Cleveland Cavaliers surprisingly selected UNLV’s Anthony Bennett with the first pick overall followed by the Orlando Magic’s drafting DC-native Victor Oladipo of Indiana University. Maryland’s Alex Len was selected #5 by the Charlotte Bobcats.
