I should have been around the table when VH1 decided to make this a show. I could tell it was a bad idea from jump, but hey who am I to say!?
VH1 has the reality show “game” on lock. Weekly we anticipate, and have themed parties for the shows that are shown. VH1 has created reality celebrities from shows like “Love & Hip Hop” Atlanta and New York, “Basketball Wives” LA, and Miami, Black Ink, I mean the list can go on and on! It was in March that VH1 decided to introduce us to a new show called “The Gossip Game”, but the introduction didn’t go over so well with viewer
“The Gossip Game” was a show that contained a cast of female bloggers, and media personalities. Angela Yee, Ms. Drama, K Foxx, and JasFly were some of the cast members. In the show, cameras would follow the ladies around as they lived their lives, and dished out gossip about celebs, city locals, and of course each other. Although the show followed after VH1’s hit shows “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” and “T.I. and Tiny’s Family Hustle”, the show did not gain many viewers or hype.
With the show continuously pushed back every week it was shown, and not receiving as much promotion as the other shows, it is safe to say that “The Gossip Game” will NOT be back for a second season. I hope that the ladies of the show didn’t burn any bridges with all the gossip, because they may need those individuals for a job plug.
