We thought we liked hot dogs but we don’t have a thing on Joey Chestnut! He not only won the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island in New York City today, Chestnut also broke a world record as well! Joey did this by eating a record breaking 69 hot dogs!
TMZ reports that Chestnut won the competition last year with 62 dogs and this year he beat his own personal best record of 68 dogs giving him a nice check in the amount of $10,000 as well as a mustard-yellow championship belt.
The 2nd place winner Matt Stonie ate 51 hot dogs. And the ladies competition winner, Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas won by eating 37 hot dogs .
This crew gives new meaning to “too much of a good thing”! Enjoy your win!
