Drake opened up to MTV yesterday to discuss a number of topics, one of which being the signing of Majid Jordan.
“In approaching this album, I was like man it would be great if we had a record that was played at weddings in like 10 years or that people that are away from their families in the army can listen to,” Drake explained. It was his goal to put out a timeless song and with that being the case, it’s even more important to put the right pieces on the track. He chose Majod Jordan – a duo of singer Majid Al Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman – to help him on the track, which turned out to be a great decision. He then announced them as the newest members of OVO.
Drakes new album hits the stores September 17.
