Producers of the 2013 Soul Train Music Awards, are calling it the “biggest event yet.” This weekend, celebs will embark on the New Orleans to tape the show, which will be aired on December 1st. Anthony Anderson will host the show, while Wendy Williams will take on red-carpet duty for the awards.
The motto for this year’s show is “We Got Soul” with performances from Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Hudson, K. Michelle, Smokey Robinson, Ron Isley, Chrisette Michele, Bobby Caldwell, Wale, Eric Benet, Candice Glover, Kem and Joss Stone. With this being the “biggest event yet”, Executive Producer, Bart Phillips, is requiring that ALL singers leave the lip-syncing for another event.
“100 percent live — no tracks here.”
Well, this shall be interesting. Everybody will have to bring their A-game. They can bring anything less of their performances if they want, just b e prepared to be dragged on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! In my opinion, all the award show should use the all-live policy.
