Another day and another artist is being accused of copyright infringement. According to the site, Herman Kelley, is suing Fabolous for illegally sampling his his 1974 song “Try To Leave Me If You Can” on his on Fab’s “For The Love” off The Soul Tape II.
Kelley claims that he has suffered mental and emotional hard; as well as a loss in profits since he sampled his song with his permission. In the lawsuit it claims that Fabolous or Def Jam has responded to his claims.
