The 2k franchise announced on Tuesday that singer, rapper and producer Pharrell Williams will bring his musical talents to the soundtrack of NBA 2k15. The game has used a handful of notable artists on its soundtracks, and for the 2014 game the soundtrack was curated by Jay Z with songs also featuring the rapper. So don’t be surprised if a few Pharrell cuts make the cut for the 2015 soundtrack. Let’s hope Pharrell puts together some of the songs he’s produced over the years with partner in crime Chad Hugo or it might mean another year of listening to “Happy.”
Pharrell was also the featured performer for the 2014 NBA All-star weekend in which he featured a number of other artists during his performance .
2k also revealed the cover artwork for the upcoming game with the new cover boy and NBA All-Star Kevin Durant. Set for October 7 release on all major consoles for Playstation 3 and 4, XBox One, and XBox 360.
