A 25-year-old man’s plight to save his chick from Spring Break recently made his hometown paper of The Washington Post after he made a desperate plea for people to get him to Miami Spring Break in so he could “chaperone” his girlfriend.

Via MadameNoire:

Azel Brather Jr.,25, recently took to popular fundraising site Go Fund Me in an attempt to scrape up $300 for a flight to Miami. Of course, he wouldn’t be the first person to utilize crowdfunding to finance a trip, but his reason for wanting to go on the trip is pretty bizarre. To keep it simple, he needs the ticket to save his relationship from the kryptonite that is spring break in Miami.

Brather’s 22-year-old girlfriend, Marissa, booked a trip to hit up the sunny city with her friends and he’s concerned that their relationship will fall apart if she goes without him. With that said, he intends to go babysit her. Literally. The problem, however, is that he has already exhausted his personal funds on other things.

His plea reads:

“Greetings people! As you know, spring break is fastly approaching and my youngin (pictured above) and her friends are going to Miami. If you know anything about Miami, you know that she shouldn’t go without a chaperone. I need to get there to be with her and share this joyous time but my funds have been exhausted.

We have a great thing going and I would hate to see it go down the drain for a little sand and sun. If you can find it in your heart to donate ANYTHING to help save my relationship I would greatly appreciate it. I just need a round trip flight.

I will be staying wherever she lays her head, eating whatever she eats, and overseeing all parties and fun activity for the duration of the trip. I thank you in advance. Please fellas, I love her.”

The struggle in this scenario is unreal. This publicity stunt also means your days are numbered, bruh. Sometimes you gotta let that bird fly in the hen-house.
