Dion Waiters, Waiters attended Bartram High School and South Philadelphia High School in Philadelphia, but did not play basketball at either school.In his sophomore year of high school, Waiters attended South Kent School. Waiters then played basketball at Life Center Academy his junior and senior years.

Now, an NBA vet and the guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, will not be traveling with the team on Wednesday as he mourns the death of his brother who was killed in Philly on Tuesday.

Fox 29 reported Waiters’ brother was one of six people killed on Tuesday in three separate acts of violence and 0 arrests have been made.

Waiters posted on his IG about the death of his brother,

“The call I just got about my lil brother wasn’t expecting this s—…..crushed my heart I never question why…. But this hurt…. I promise I got Yu mark my word….. Love Yu kid… r.i.p.”
