Before performing at the University of Louisiana-Layayette, papper Lil Wayne was presented with the key to the city. It wasn’t the normal big celebratory key that people normally gets. It just so happen to be on a “gold chain.”
Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux told the Wayne and the press “We want to present to you a very special key to the city that we made specifically for you” and “that’s the only one in America. Thank you, sir.” In a contest driving by the music and content streaming service Tidal, ULL beat over 50 colleges and universities in the student led contest and the winning school got a performance from Wayne.
